BONLUCK Hydrogen Vehicle Development for Fortescue Metals Group Model of President II

August 18, 2020 Nowadays, industry fields are pursuing energy-saving production. And also, scientific researchers have been developing kinds of new energy to reduce the harm of fossil fuels. In Australia, which is famous for its mining industry, a large number of heavy vehicles have been continually consuming diesel and then exhausting harmful gas in western area. Recently, An AUD$32 million renewable hydrogen mobility project first points to Australia’s strong mining operation. The first batch of 10 hydrogen vehicles jointly developed by Bonluck & Hyzon Motors will be introduced to replace the existing diesel vehicles. Furthermore, to support these new energy vehicles, fueling station will be built to generate renewable hydrogen onsite.

As a leading mining enterprise, Fortescue Deputy Chief Executive Officer Julie Shuttle worth said, “This project represents a first step towards decarburizing our mobile fleet, which is an important part of our goal to achieve net zero operational emissions…”Fortescue has received AUD$2 million through the Western Australian Government’s Renewable Hydrogen Fund to support the development of this project.
BONLUCK is the first buses &coaches manufacturer in China exporting in large quantities to developed countries and regions including the US and Australia. At present, BLK products have successfully passed Australia ADR certification, US DOT certification, EU ECE and other oversea certifications. The vehicle models exported to Australia, such as president, senator, cooper and so on, have been praised by customers and local operators.

In the field of R&D and manufacturing of new energy and clean energy buses, BLK has always been at the forefront of the industry. From the first domestic new energy series city bus and tourist bus exported to Australia in 2008 to the batch of hybrid electric buses in Latin America in 2018, BLK has repeatedly become a model for domestic new energy and clean energy bus export to overseas markets. In this Australian project, based on BLK’s advanced bus R&D, BLK will fully cooperate with Hyzon Motors to meet the demand of Australia's hydrogen energy bus market ,establish a solid foundation for its new energy status in Australia, and make adequate preparations for other new energy markets. “Through selection and competition, FMG has finally selected BLK as the manufacturer of hydrogen energy vehicle. We believe this is highly recognized by FMG and Australian market for BLK products. BLK will also take this project to further improve the quality of bus, supply cleaner new energy products and better serve Australian passenger transport!” Li Han said,“BLK is the first Chinese brand to export buses to Australia, and will also be the first Chinese brand to export hydrogen energy buses to Australia.”
